About me
Ian Williams is a seasoned capital markets executive with more than 30 years of experience spanning trading, market structure, and global product leadership. He currently serves as Global Head of Trading and Execution Product Management at Broadridge, where he is responsible for shaping the firm’s global trading solutions and advancing its strategic growth across the globe.
Prior to joining Broadridge, Ian spent 16 years at Virtu Financial and ITG (which was acquired by Virtu), where he held several senior leadership roles, including CEO of the Canadian business and Head of U.S. Execution Services. During his tenure, he helped build and lead one of the world’s most sophisticated, technology-driven, multi-asset brokerage platforms, encompassing electronic and high-touch trading, liquidity provision, decision-support analytics, and end-to-end trading workflows. Ian supported a diverse global client base across institutional, wealth, retail, and white-label sell-side firms, giving him deep, practical insight into the evolving needs of market participants.
Earlier in his career, Ian spent over a decade at TD, most recently as a Portfolio Manager & Head of Trading, TD Asset Management.
At Broadridge, Ian leads the continued expansion and integration of the firm’s trading and execution product suite, with a focus on scalable, technology-driven solutions and a differentiated client experience. His leadership blends hands-on trading expertise with a strategic, product-led approach to market structure, liquidity, and execution in global capital markets.
