Aaron Brown is the author of Wrong Number (Wiley, 2026), which exposes the methodologically flawed statistics behind widely‑cited claims on gun control, climate, public health, housing, and more. He hosts the companion Wrong Number video series for Reason Television and writes a Bloomberg Opinion column. A long‑time poker player, financial trader, and risk manager, in the 1980s he led a group of quants — before that was a word — applying systematic Liar’s Poker strategies on trading floors to gain respect and cash. His earlier books include The Poker Face of Wall Street, A World of Chance (with Reuven and Gabrielle Brenner), Red‑Blooded Risk, and Financial Risk Management for Dummies. He holds degrees in Applied Mathematics from Harvard and in Finance and Statistics from the University of Chicago. Aaron splits time among Manhattan, Las Cruces, and Coronado Island, writing, trading, betting, and playing games.
